I am grateful my business is not location dependent.

In other words, as long as I have internet access and mail service, I can work from anywhere.

Often times dont even need mail, but depending on the client, sometimes it’s easier to physically mail them stuff instead of email.

Being able to work from anywhere was important to me when looking for an alternative to my 9-5

When I worked for the State, I had to be at the prison, or I wasn’t making money.

I wanted to get rid of the ā€œgolden handcuffsā€.

It took time, sacrifice, and some hard decisions

I’m glad I was able to find a wayblut though.

In the Overages business, you're going to have to organize a lot of data. Data such as:

-Client names, phone numbers, addresses, email addresses, social media accounts, and relatives/associates contact info.
-Property addresses, deed records, lien/judgment research, bankruptcy cases, court case numbers/documents and details of the property sale.

-Contracts, templates, signed documents, rolodex of team members such as attorneys, notaries, and partners.

-Website addresses of lead sources, county records websites, county officials contact information and claiming process for each state/county.

I've used multiple platforms, software's, and resources to keep track of everything like google drive, internet bookmarks, spreadsheets, Microsoft word, Docusign, and even good ole legal yellow-pads.

If you're looking for something to keep all of this information in one place, then I invite you join us for a webinar tonight at 8:30 PM Eastern Time.

We'll be going over a new software, TrackTool, that's set to launch on July 1st and will change the landscape of the overages/surplus funds industry.

You'll be able to get an inside look before it launches, take advantage of any pre-launch specials, and ask your questions live with the software creator Jeff Richman.

Hope to see you there! Link to access the webinar is posted down below.

Tip of the day:

Find ways to differentiate yourself from the competition.

One way to do this is to explore inefficiencies.

What I mean is, don’t get too caught up in being so efficient and using technology that you miss opportunity to set yourself apart from the masses.

One of my students sends handwritten thank you cards to people after he initially talks to them.

Hand writing thank you cards is not an efficient task. It is time consuming.

However, he closes a lot of deals, probably because he’s different from everyone else calling those prospects.

This is just one example of many, on how to use inefficiencies to separate yourself from the competition.

Haven’t been posting lots of videos lately, been kinda a busy.

A week ago this little guy decided he was ready to come into the world. He arrived so quickly that he was delivered at home. Mom caught his head and I caught the rest of him. Totally unplanned.

Everyone’s doing great.
