We are a rock-band. As the well-known rock journalist Andrei Burlaka writes in his rock encyclopedia, the band Shervvood is known for being five times invited by the famous guitarist Ritchie Blackmore to perform as the opening act for Russian gigs of his Blackmore’s Night project.
The only constant member of Shervvod is the vocalist and songwriter Yuri Ivanov, known as the author of the music for the song "Ivanov the Accountant" – one of the main hits of the Bakhyt Kompot group.
Shervvod's discography includes three albums: The Favorite Songs of Henry VIII (2004), Sweet Joan (2010) and Blow the Candles Out (2015). All three albums exist in two versions: Russian and English.
The creative individuality of the group is determined primarily by the melodiousness of the performed compositions, their rhythm and a pronounced energetic, driving presentation of the material. Many fans of the band say that Shervvood's songs sound inspiring.
