I have seen many beautiful places in Southern Africa over the last 18 years as a photographer, but the Mnweni Pinnacles in the Drakensberg sits at the very top of that list! The first time I saw this view, I was speechless! These pinnacles are massive, i’m guessing at least 200 meters tall, maybe more. Its a long hike to get to this location, but worth every step!

Incredible sunrise light pierces through a small gap on the horizon, washing the landscape in beautiful golden light as dramatic clouds catch the light overhead. This is quite easily one of the best sunrises I have ever seen in the Drakensberg.
