Welcome, This is my experience of living with and fighting type 2 diabetes for the last 40 years. At the time of diagnosis my wife (now ex-wife) was a qualified doctor. She helped me, but never told me to reduce portion sizes or carbohydrate intake, which I think was a mistake.
I am Saman Patirage. I am a Chemical Engineer with the primary degree in Chemical Engineering and Masters degree in IT.
I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in 1983. Since that, I have been living and controlling my blood sugar with oral medication. Several times my endocrinologist tried to push me into Insulin. Rather than changing to Insulin, I changed my endocrinologist and try to live a healthy life.
I had an angina attack in 1993 and had a triple by pass sugary. I think that was caused by 1. My Diabetes, 2. Eating too much chicken meat, so called lean meat.
This channel is about managing diabetes with healthy Carbohydrates, mainly plant based diets and occasional Egg or Chicken meat.
