Cinematographer Robbie Ryan used film cameras to deliver the stunning visuals of the gothic story tale in Poor Things.
On a few occasions Vistavision was used, an old camera system preferred by Alfred Hitchock. This old camera system was developed by the big studios to try and attract audiences back in the cinemas after the advent of TV in the 50s.
He also use Kodak Ektachrome film stock which is a colour reversal film that is known for its vibrant colour palette and high contrast which matches perfectly the tone of the film.
