If you’re leveraging social media for business remember this…
You have TWO audiences to consider: your niche/avatar AND the platform you are posting to.
If you can keep more people on the platform longer, the platform can serve more ads which equals more money to them, and that makes it more likely you’ll be favored in their algorithm for awhile.
The image below is from one of my recent IG reels and is a great illustration of this concept.
The total Reel is 42 seconds and on average, viewers only watch half of it, but with 14.2 million views that equates to 65,062 HOURS that I’ve helped eyeballs stay on IG.
Once IG knows I can do that, do you think they show my content more often?
