I'm right to the wire with this edit, tomorrow's video will document our visit to the Tall Ships Race in Aberdeen. I realise it's a bit different and may not be to everyone's taste, but don't worry, there will also be a Tuesday bonus next week. So that's three videos over the next 8 days, with Tuesday featuring a fun flight and the following Saturday a very different ferry. Our last filming trip ended up in A&E. Alicja is totally fine now, but it was a reminder to carry a first aid kit, have an emergency plan and plenty of supplies even on the easiest of trails. We certainly didn't think we'd end up here, but like I say 5 stitches later, the brave girl is recovering well :) Take care everyone and be safe out there!

I have had some horrendous personal insults thrown my way in the last few days for travelling to The United States. I’m old and wise enough to be able to handle the YouTube comments section, but to those who demand I don’t travel to (quote) ‘an authoritarian state’, maybe they need to look up the definition of authoritarian, because it’s exactly what they are projecting onto me. This channel is not political and if I studied the politics of every country before visiting, I’m not sure I’d ever leave the house.
I’m all for opinions, whether I agree with them or not, but thankfully I am able to block the people who cross the line in terms of the language they use towards me personally, which also removes their ability to comment on my channel ever again. People who use polite language to disagree with me will forever be welcome! But screaming at me in the comments section about political views is a wasted use of words. This is and always will be a travel channel, nothing more, nothing less. Thank you to the vast, vast majority of you who appreciate this. And to all the lovely people we met in New York, it was an absolute pleasure.
It’s a shame I have to write this, but it is what it is. I’ll distract myself by trying to edit travel videos to the best of my ability.

Thanks so much for watching the long video this weekend! As I head off early tomorrow on another filming trip, just a heads-up of what's to come on the channel. There will be a (very) short Tuesday upload from Le Havre. We didn't do this as a video as such, so it's just a quick 10 minute selection of clips. Then next Saturday will be the QM2 ship tour, (originally meant to be a midweeker itself, but, having just finished the edit, I feel it's worthy of a Saturday slot!) Thereafter, look out for a Q&A video on the following Tuesday and then some NYC stuff if it survives the long journey from sd card to iMovie to fully edited video. Tomorrow's journey? I'm off on a flying visit to Canada. Very short unfortunately, but I guess you could say I'm following up one of the longer transatlantic crossings with one of the shortest. More will be revealed in good time :) And Alicja will also be off on her own filming trip next week. It's all go over here at SteveMarsh YouTube HQ!
