My name is Charity Rissler Wottrich. I'm a Christian author, blogger, and visual artist. I grew up in a cult, so I'm sharing that experience in the hopes that I can help people find the truth. In 2019 I published "Where the Willow Weeps", a memoir about my upbringing and how I found Jesus. I also struggle with clinical anxiety and have experienced seasons of depression. Through that I've developed a passion for mental illness and equipping fellow believers struggling with mental illness, and the equipping the church to love people who have that unique burden. This year I am writing a devotional book for people who struggle with anxiety or depression, and next year I will be publishing a more comprehensive book on mental illness from a biblical and clinical perspective.
