Dad Rock December 2023 Schedule:

12/15-12/18: Blue Oyster Cult
12/29-01/01: The Brit's Obsession With The Apocalypse (King Crimson, Bowie, Dire Straits...)
01/12-01/15: Ruins (The Japanese Band)
01/26-01/29: Steely Dan

(Projected schedule. They'll also be another video scattered in here somewhere. My computer problems threw that one into the shuffle. It is about Google and not related to music.)

A poll is available on my Patreon for Dad Rock December 2023. Supporters are encouraged to and reminded they can vote on the subjects of upcoming videos. It will be open until December 1st.

(As usual, this will go December-January. I am a little behind schedule after my computer problems.)

PSU on my new computer exploded last night. I was out of the room, heard a pop, then came back to the computer off. Nothing else looks to be damaged so I think something tripped and it shut down before anything bad happened to the rest of the PC. I'll have a new PSU in on Monday and see what happens.

Nothing major was lost beside a few notes because I make backups on and off it. Always backup up your data!

Everyone go watch the first video of STEELY DAN DECADENCE! It is about the lost, wacky, and sometimes downright strange Demos that started Steely Dan. This series will be taking a casual look at Steely Dan's entire history, mysteries, and literary, historical, and musical influences. I am hoping to have one video out every two months, but the time frame could go up and down depending on each topic. Anything you want to know about the band's discography, hidden gems and all?

Next time, it will be Dog Eat Dog.

Although I do not think it is Winter Synth, I wanted to mention Elyvilon's "Full Moon Over Yuletide Eve" in regards to the latest video. It is excellent Christmas music and I've added it to my overall holiday rotation. It is more like Medieval festive Dungeon Synth. If you like Christmas carols, I highly recommend it! It has my favorite version of Pat-a-pan.

Let me know if there's anything else you think I should be aware of in case I revisit Dungeon/Winter Synth.

Dad Rock December Schedule:

12/10-12/13: Cusco
12/17-12/20: Blue Oyster Cult
12/24-12-12/27: Mick Jagger And An Author Meet In Spain (Maybe...)
12/31-1/4: Dire Straits

Jan-March: Magma (Overdue Special Feature!)

Disclaimer: As always, take this schedule as more speculative than anything. It will probably run more into January if anything. I've done preliminary (if not finished research) on all topics, but I'm always weary with copyright issues on videos about bands/albums. This is and research/scripting issues is why the Magma video has sort of been in limbo for so long. Both the Blue Oyster Cult and Dire Straits topics were picked by my Patreons (since there was no new video in November due to irl commitments).

Hey! Are you looking for some Halloween entertainment? Well, Albert Bouchard (with some special guest features) just dropped "Imaginos 2 - Bombs Over Germany (minus zero and counting)". The long awaited continuation to the Imaginos Saga and finally features the semi-mythical "Half Life Time". Ghosts they are that walk the Earth!

Hello everyone! Not a video related update, but here is something interesting for Literature/Western fans.

A friend of mine and I were able to acquire a copy of Cormac McCarthy's nearly lost 1977 film "The Gardener's Son" from a user on Reddit. We were finally able to get it up today. You can find it on the "Esoteric Archive" channel or in the link below on this post (YouTube refuses to let me add videos). The exact copyright is unclear to us so you may want to download a copy or spread the word to others interested. It could be pulled down at any time. I have my own copy!
