in the future - u will be able to do some more stuff here,,,!! like pat catgirl- i mean um yeah... for now u can only see others's posts :c
Unfortunately I need to step away from the hobby for awhile, I will hopefully be back in the new year or sometime in 2025. Other life things are taking precedence, its not the hobby itself.
I will be around and will try to keep interacting but my time is very limited for now. Keep those wheels up and cheerio!

An unviolated Airfix Heracles arrived today to replace the one started by @HarryHoudiniModels for his "dry fit" review! I love this interwar period of aircraft and might even start this weekend if the rain continues...

Finally got the first video of the year up - this is what happens when you live like a hobbit in the sticks with bad internet! More to come each week or fortnight depending on my energy levels and what I've actually done on the bench. Next week I'll have more of the Felixstowe and CH-53E to share, plus a special shelf queen that is technically an aircraft, but really looks like a battleship! Cheers, Chris

Was supposed to have my first video up for the year but my Starlink internet died on me twice due to the heat - seems the dish can't stand a normal Australian summer! Combined with a few power blackouts and using 3G internet on the phone while I wait for a new internet installation, I've been focusing more on work than modelling to say the least...although I have made some progress on my CH-53E (riveting!) and I've finally started my Felixstowe!
I hope to share that all with you soon...

Yes I'm still here! There's going to be a subtle change coming soon to the channel, a more focused direction as it were....I'll have a video up shortly once my graphics guy comes through with the goods to explain it all.
I've been busy modelling in between getting the kids ready for the school year and wading through near 100% humidity in our Dog-awful Australian summers, including starting a new big project and getting back to two of my other big projects, so stay tuned and thanks for sticking around as 2024 rolls on....cheers Chris

Hi everyone, I just filmed my final video for the year, the usual EOY update and my thoughts on where to go in 2024, including whether or not I'll continue sharing my modelling on social media. Video will be up soon, cheers Chris

Well folks, I'm going to take another social media holiday (Facebook and YouTube) and also scale (pun intended) back my modelling a fair bit in the coming months.
I'm not finding the right motivations within the on-line modelling scene, and I'm getting negative feelings again about a hobby I am trying to enjoy.
Truth be told I didn't really miss it whilst on holiday in NZ, although there are a lot of online modellers I do like to follow, admire and who provide support to me in my own efforts so this is not a slight on them, just where I am right now.
I'm going to continue my "quest" to make the best inflight aircraft models I can, but for now, I will get back to doing it on my own and share it when I want to - or not - at a later date.
Onward, forward and wheels up!

New video coming up tomorrow - my new and improved hobby room, a quick tour and a quick channel update too:

Some photos from the recent state competition that I attended over the weekend - courtesy of Master figure painter, Ben Flood. I managed to get the two F14s finished, I'll upload the final video shortly, plus a few others. Check out my round up of the show and the judging in my current video as well - cheers, Chris

Both Tomcats are painted and ready for decals, I'm just about to drop another video soon, needs editing - thanks for your patience but I've been head down big bum up trying to finish these things in time for the state competition next weekend!

I'm all about scale model aircraft - particularly getting them posed in the air where they belong!
I also like to scratch build/kitbash the occasional scifi fantasy thing, what-ifs and what could have beens.
