Ghana increased state control over gold by mandating sales to the central bank and banning foreign traders from artisanal purchases. The U.S. issued a Level 2 travel advisory for Ghana in retaliation.
The U.S. undermines African sovereignty over resources for economic, geopolitical, corporate interests, and strategic access to vital resources.

Trump’s Threats Against Iran Are Serious—And Tehran Must Prepare Accordingly

President Donald Trump has consistently demonstrated a confrontational stance toward Iran.
Trump’s alliance with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu formed a potent axis that views Iran as a strategic threat. Both leaders have openly discussed the necessity of neutralizing Iran’s military capabilities, particularly its missile infrastructure and nuclear program.

Contrary to political posturing, Trump’s threats are not mere bluffs. Historically, the United States has shown a pattern of military aggression against nations in the Global South, particularly those that challenge Western hegemony.

The U.S. security establishment, regardless of party leadership, has often justified interventions under the guise of non-proliferation or counterterrorism, while in practice undermining sovereign, non-Western nations.

Intelligence leaks and strategic deployments suggest that the U.S. military, under Trump’s command, would not hesitate to utilise B-2 stealth bombers equipped with advanced tactical nuclear warheads to penetrate and destroy deeply-buried Iranian missile sites. This would mark a dangerous escalation in the use of tactical nuclear force, potentially setting a precedent for future preemptive strikes against sovereign nations.

In this context, Iran’s pursuit of nuclear deterrence may no longer be a strategic choice, but a national imperative.

Without a credible deterrent, the Islamic Republic risks being overwhelmed by a joint U.S.-Israeli military campaign designed to cripple its defense infrastructure and provoke regime change.

What we are witnessing is not a simple policy disagreement but the re-emergence of imperial power , where non-Western resistance is met with overwhelming force. In this equation, the survival of independent nations hinges on their capacity to resist through deterrence, including nuclear capability if necessary.

The U.S. has carried out major airstrikes against Houthi forces in Yemen, responding to their attacks on ships in the Red Sea, former President Donald Trump announced. He accused the Iran-backed Houthis of targeting U.S. and allied forces, causing financial losses and endangering lives.

Houthi officials reported at least nine people killed and nine injured in the strikes. The group, which began attacking shipping after Israel's invasion of Gaza, told Arab media it would not stop its operations.

The ICC's selective justice raises serious concerns about the future of international law. While non-Western leaders like Duterte and African presidents face arrest , Netanyahu walks free despite G*z* crimes .

China has warned against politicising Duterte arrest . The ICC ignores crimes by powerful nations while targeting weaker ones.

The ICC is a tool of Western dominance rather than a fair court for global accountability. True justice must apply equally, or the system will collapse under its own hypocrisy.

Brazil’s upcoming leadership in the 2025 BRICS summit and its push for new payment systems is a calculated move toward financial independence for the Global South. By reducing reliance on Western-dominated systems like SWIFT, BRICS nations challenge U.S. dollar hegemony( multipolar world).
If successful, it could reshape global finance, giving the Global South greater autonomy and reducing economic inequalities imposed by Western-led institutions.
