After spending a morning in the woods resupplying the cabin itβs on to the other jobs. Here I am working through piles of old timber to finally create a small pitched roof structure for the compost bays of the small holding .

HVB UPDATE:
This week has been extremely busy with two families having stayed in our off grid cabin, a boat load of filming for this channel and more action to come as we head into Jubilee weekend π₯³π₯³
We will be hosting people up and working at the small holding site .
To follow the smallholding head to Instagram accounts @ Hiddenvalleybuchcraft and @ NickGoldsmithOfficial π
The jobs list to include , planting up veg beds, checking on the bee hives, cleaning out the chicken coup, more painting and fencing.
But the main task will be turning an old British military tent frame into a poly tunnel ππ€

Welcome to our Family Bushcraft Channel!
My name is Nick Goldsmith and together with my wife Louise, our son Finley and fox red Labrador Tilly, we aim to inspire you to have your own family adventures in the great outdoors.
We focus on wilderness living skills, traditional crafts, and are strong advocates of using nature to improve mental well-being.
In 2014 I was diagnosed with complex PTSD after a busy career as a British Royal Marine Commando. I now use the outdoors to manage my condition.
I am a full time Bushcraft Instructor, Ethnobotanist and outdoor chef and Louise is a qualified Forest School Leader.
Together we run Hidden Valley Bushcraft and The Woodland Warrior Programme from our private woodland in the South West of England.
We will be offering survival and foraging tips, family bushcraft activities and kit reviews as well as a variety of useful videos to help with your mental well-being.
