Been so long since I cast anything I completely forgot how. Left the sprue out of the first mold and this one didnโt fill. Oh well tomorrow is another opportunity to relearn stuff Iโve forgotten ๐

For those of you that think I've fallen off the face of the Earth, or at least YouTube, I have. Its been a long time since I poured any metal. We finally had a cool morning... when I didn't have to work... and I decided to go out and make a mold and pour it. Nice to see I can still make a reasonable mold and sorta pour metal. I'll save you the trouble of trying to figure out what it says, its the Hebrew form of the first half of Jeremiah 10:10
Thought about making a YT short but didn't check the memory card before I started and it filled and stopped recording before the pour so I only captured ramming the mold. No one wants to just see that.

What started out as a pretty ad hoc collection of activities has evolved into a focus on metal casting. You won't see ingot pouring or polishing here but you will see my progression from pouring like everyone else to using what I consider sound techniques.
