I can't wait to be back in Thailand end of Oct 2022. My last time in Thailand was 2019 and in early 2021 I started learning Thai Language.
I have been learning Thai on my own 1hr per day and I'm currently at 570hrs. I hr per day is not enough to memorise as the next day is spent recalling what was learned the previous day...lol. I started to read first and learn the alphabet as opposed to taking. In the last year I have read 9 Thai books which was very difficult as each word had to be understood via a dictionary however I'm happy I started this way first.
In the past three weeks I discovered Lingopolo and this has accelerated my speaking and most importantly listening. Looking at the stats on Lingoplo I currently know 674 words and over 2k phrases. Can I remember then all, no however it's interesting to see these stats. As I'm a beginner in Thai my aim was/is 1k words in the first 500hrs and 2k words in 1000hrs. I'm loving this journey although at times it's very frustrating and some days I want to give up however small steps amount to giant leaps and considering 570hrs ago I couldn't understand a single word let alone read, now I can read signs, books etc and understand spoken Thai (if it's spoken very slow) to a small degree.

Great news for me, I'll be back making vids after a long absence due to the situation, first stop will be Bail for a month and then Thailand. I can't wait to back doing what I love the most, making vids again.
