AMERICAN | Kinetix: A Heartfelt Salute to Black Hills Ammunition’s Historic U.S. Navy Contract!

Dear AMERICAN | Kinetix Community,

We are thrilled to celebrate a monumental achievement by our valued friends, Jeff and Kristi Hoffman, owners of Black Hills Ammunition, who have just secured a game-changing $40 million contract with the U.S. Navy to supply their world-class 6.5 Creedmoor rounds. At AMERICAN | Kinetix, we’ve trusted Black Hills Ammunition for years for one simple reason: it’s the best. This landmark contract proves what we’ve always known—their unmatched quality and precision set the gold standard in the industry.

The U.S. Navy’s decision to adopt the 6.5 Creedmoor over the traditional 7.62x51 NATO round marks a seismic shift in military ballistics, driven by hard data. Studies, including those from the Journal of Applied Ballistics, show the 6.5 Creedmoor delivers a 20-30% better ballistic coefficient and significantly less wind drift at 1,000 meters. In real-world tests, it outperforms the 7.62x51 in accuracy and energy retention beyond 800 meters, making it the superior choice for the precision-driven demands of modern warfare. This move overcomes resistance from traditionalists, proving that innovation, backed by performance, wins out.

Jeff and Kristi Hoffman have built Black Hills Ammunition into a powerhouse, trusted by U.S. Military teams and renowned for producing ammunition that meets the most exacting standards. This contract not only cements their reputation but also signals a broader shift toward lighter, more effective rounds that will shape the future of military engagements. From their headquarters South Dakota, the Hoffmans have shown that American ingenuity and craftsmanship can lead the way on a global stage.

As a major sponsor of AMERICAN | Kinetix, Black Hills Ammunition reflects our commitment to excellence, performance, and unwavering reliability. For years, we’ve relied exclusively on their ammunition because it consistently delivers unmatched results. This historic Navy contract is a testament to Jeff and Kristi’s vision, dedication, and relentless pursuit of perfection.

Join us in raising a resounding cheer for Jeff, Kristi, and the entire Black Hills Ammunition team! Their success is a victory for quality, innovation, and the American spirit. Here’s to Black Hills Ammunition—because when it comes to performance, only the best will do.

With pride and admiration,

The AMERICAN | Kinetix Team

Yep, YouTube removed an educational video on assembling a legal, semi-auto, Constitutionally protected, unsuppressed rifle this week.

Here's what they said:

**BEGIN YOUTUBE STATEMENT**

Hi American Kinetix,

It looks like "Gun Build: LMT Defense MARS-H Build w/NightForce & Atlas Bipod" on Arca didn’t follow Community Guidelines. To help keep our community safe, we removed it from YouTube.

**END YOUTUBE STATEMENT**

One example of the "unsafe" content they cited was located at 00:36:20 (see screen capture of that exact time in the video)...guess what it is...a still frame picture of a rifle. WOW - now that is harmful. I completely see the terribly unsafe element of this and can't blame YouTube from removing, censoring such content.

Nevermind that this exact rifle is built on YouTube by Brownells here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlKIl...

Nevermind that School of the American Rifleman has hundreds of YouTube videos on assembling, disassembling rifles here - youtube.com/@SchooloftheAmericanRifle/featured

Nevermind that we never even fired the rifle on camera.

Time to switch to Vimeo boys where the First and Second Amendment are not trampled on by bullies and people who have zero idea what they're talking about when it comes to firearms.

Share this far and wide - we will, on X, Twitter and on and on, because people should know.

🚨 Suspected Terrorist Surveillance Targeting U.S. Churches 🚨

📌 This report is based on information originally generated by
@BenghaziAttacks
, assessing recent incidents of suspected terrorist surveillance targeting churches across multiple states in the U.S.

📌 BLUF:

Reports from California, Florida, Virginia, & Arizona indicate suspected surveillance of churches.

Observed behaviors align with pre-attack reconnaissance tactics used by extremist actors.

Religious institutions are high-value targets due to vulnerability & symbolism.
Law enforcement is aware but has not issued an official threat advisory.

🔎 Key Judgments:

The geographic spread suggests a coordinated or inspired pattern rather than isolated incidents.

Increased awareness has led to more reporting, which may confirm or disprove an organized threat.

If coordinated, faith-based institutions face elevated risk of attack in the near term.

The absence of claims of responsibility or hostile action does not eliminate an emerging threat.

⚠️ SITREP (Situation Report):

Witnesses report loitering individuals, photographing entry points, and monitoring congregations.

These behaviors mirror past extremist reconnaissance tactics.

No group has claimed responsibility, but global extremist rhetoric has increasingly called for attacks on religious sites.

Law enforcement is investigating, but formal alerts have not been issued.

🛑 Threat Landscape:

U.S. has seen an increase in faith-based attacks in recent years.

Extremist rhetoric continues to call for violence against religious institutions.

Churches are advised to document & report ALL suspicious activity.

📋 Courses of Action (COA):

🔹 MLCOA (Most Likely) → Reports of suspicious activity continue, but no definitive threat is identified. Security measures increase.

🔹 MDCOA (Most Dangerous) → Surveillance is part of a coordinated attack-planning phase, leading to mass casualty events.

🔹 LLCOA (Least Likely) → Reports stem from false alarms, with no credible threat emerging.

🛡 Conclusion:

Multiple-state surveillance of churches raises security concerns.
No confirmed attack plans, but patterns align with pre-attack behaviors.

Heightened vigilance, increased reporting & law enforcement coordination are strongly recommended.

🔔 Churches should implement security measures NOW.
📞 Report all suspicious activity to local authorities.

MISSISSIPPI COURTS = BASED

Bottom Line Up Front (BLUF):

On January 29, 2025, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit ruled that the federal prohibition on possessing machine guns is inconsistent with the Second Amendment, as interpreted in the Supreme Court’s Bruen decision. This pivotal judgment challenges existing federal firearm regulations and may significantly influence future legislative and judicial approaches to gun control.

ANALYSIS:

In United States v. Justin Bryce Brown, the defendant was charged under 18 U.S.C. §§ 922(o) and 924(a)(2) for knowingly possessing a machine gun. Section 922(o) categorically criminalizes the possession of machine guns, with a narrow exception for those lawfully possessed before the statute’s enactment. The law applies strict liability, meaning an individual can be convicted solely for possession, regardless of intent, use, or circumstances.

The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals based its ruling heavily on the Supreme Court’s 2022 decision in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen, which requires firearm regulations to be grounded in historical tradition. Under the Bruen framework, a modern firearm restriction is unconstitutional unless the government can demonstrate that it is consistent with the historical tradition of firearm regulation at the time of the Second Amendment’s ratification.

Applying this standard, the Fifth Circuit examined whether any historical precedent supported a federal ban on machine gun possession. The court found that:

No comparable restrictions existed during the Founding Era (late 18th century) – At the time the Second Amendment was ratified, there were no laws banning the private ownership of specific types of firearms by law-abiding citizens.

Machine guns are not a historical anomaly – The court noted that civilians historically had access to technologically advanced firearms, including multi-shot and rapid-fire weapons, without legal prohibitions.

Federal laws imposing blanket firearm bans lack historical precedent – While regulations on carrying firearms in sensitive places existed, outright possession bans were not a recognized practice under early American law.

Based on these findings, the Fifth Circuit concluded that Section 922(o) lacks a historical analogue and is therefore inconsistent with the Second Amendment’s text, history, and tradition.

Implications of the Ruling

Legal Precedent:
This ruling establishes a significant judicial precedent, reinforcing the Bruen test as the primary standard for evaluating firearm regulations. Courts may now re-examine existing federal and state firearm laws, especially those restricting ownership of specific weapon types.

Policy Reevaluation:
Legislators and policymakers may need to reassess current and proposed firearm restrictions to ensure they meet the historical tradition standard. Gun control measures that lack direct historical justification will face heightened legal scrutiny.

Future Legal Challenges:
This decision is likely to inspire further litigation challenging other federal and state firearm bans, including restrictions on assault weapons, high-capacity magazines, and suppressors. If similar rulings emerge in other circuits, the Supreme Court may be compelled to issue a definitive nationwide ruling on the scope of machine gun bans and other firearm restrictions.

CONCLUSION:

The Fifth Circuit’s ruling marks a turning point in Second Amendment jurisprudence, reinforcing a historical originalist approach to firearm regulation. By requiring gun laws to align with the Founding Era’s legal traditions, this decision sets the stage for significant changes in federal and state firearm policies.

The future of federal firearm restrictions—including machine gun bans—will likely be decided in the courts. This case serves as a strategic signal for those involved in legislative and legal battles over the Second Amendment.
