Happy Saturday everyone! As I talked about on last Sunday’s Global stream, I’m temporarily scaling back on live-streams, to having one on the last Sunday of each month at 1 pm eastern. I’ll put out a reminder video for each one.
Then perhaps in the new year I’ll go back to regular weekly streams. It’s going to get hectic around here in the coming weeks and months - keep an eye peeled for update videos. Hint: we just had to rip apart our front door a couple days ago....😲
And I might just decide to have random Saturday night streams, here and there, time permitting.

Hi all! Just a quick note to say I’m changing up the Daily Dose series, and making a Weekly Update instead. I’ve been finding it hard to get other everyday life stuff done and I’m getting behind - the daily videos each take about 2 1/2 hours to make so I need to scale back a bit.
I’ll still capture video of what I do around the reef each day, and put it into one 8-10 minute update video per week.

Hi all!
NO livestream this week, Saturday July 3. I got a cold and now I have laryngitis, which I get about once every 5 years. It usually lasts about a week and I’m on day 2 as I write this. Voice is completely gone and I’m not supposed to even try and talk, doctor’s orders. I also had my second vaccine dose, which put me under the weather for 48 hours but that’s all good now. Earlier in the week, I fell on our back steps and have some pretty significant painful bruising on my leg. So it’s been a rough week, all in all, but losing my voice was the thing that stops me going live on Saturday.
Probably TMI. Nothing new there. 😂

This week’s live stream will be on Sunday June 27, starting at 1 PM Eastern time. Trying to hit lots of time zones where it isn’t the middle of the night, so we can maybe see more tanks with the lights still on. I hope you’ll join me!

Well now! Turns out I won’t be able to stream Saturday July 25 after all. Our house is indeed sold (yay!) but we have a scheduling conflict for late Saturday. I’ll miss you all but I WILL RETURN Saturday August 1! We will have lots to talk about! 💥

Got my first reef tank in 2010, was given a neglected tank and brought it back to life. Following several nano tanks I had a Red Sea Reefer XL 425 for 3 years. I also have an IM Nuvo 40 called “Mollywood” that I set up in late 2018 for my saltwater tank-bred mollies. I’m now using it as a fish and coral observation tank.
November 2020, we moved house so I moved my reef and put it in a temporary 90G sumpless tank. It was there from June 2020 to March 2021. Then it was gradually transferred to my 265 gallon basement sump, which I cycled and set up as a stand-alone running system until my new tank arrived - 325 gallon display, system volume of about 600 gallons. It was not smooth sailing, but I’m moving forward!
