Hey y'all

I've been so caught up with WrestleMania weekend, The Last of Us season 2, and other personal matters which are not my business to go into at the moment; that I forgot to upload the video that I had finished. It's on Early Access on patreon right now, and will be uploaded on Tuesday for everyone else.

I should also mention right now, June 13th is a very big anniversary. It's the 25 year anniversary of one of my favorite games of all time, and I need to make a video worthy of its majesty. Unfortunately, I will not be in town for the week of June 13th. So I need to have that video ready in time, as well as the videos I'm currently working on in order to pad my nest in the meantime. Because said video isn't even fully scripted yet, and it's already looking to be upwards of 50% longer than my longest video on this channel. And I need to have some finished videos for The gap so I don't go a month without videos.

In other words, the next month and a half is going to be fresh hell for me. So wish me luck.

Hello all, so I have a different video coming out tomorrow. Ages ago, I was trying to make a video about the age of irony as I've dubbed it, which was a period in the early 2010s to early 2020s. Where there was a virtual landslide of Media made with an ironic, self-referential sense of humor. It was shelved because I couldn't quite really find the overall point that I was trying to make.

Along comes A game I had only ever heard of called "Eat Lead: The Return Of Matt Hazard" which was a game that predated what I've considered the age of irony, and yet encapsulates so much of what I don't like about that type of media. So this ended up being a video that was half topic, half review of said game. A bit outside of my usual output, but I like how it ended up coming together in the end. So I encourage you all to give it a chance because I feel like it's some of my best work.

Plus, the game in question is absolutely terrible, so if you enjoy me ripping a game apart, it's certainly one of those.

Hello bacon brigade, so I'm happy to announce "Every Twisted Metal Ending Ranked From Worst To Best" has surpassed a million views. Making it the second video of mine to do so. Thank you everyone for making this happen. It's funny, I remember back on July 18th 2021, messaging my friend J's reviews saying "Yo, I have this great idea for a video, and I can't believe it's never been done before" and here we are some 3 and a half years later. Once upon A time, getting 100,000 views seemed impossible, and yet here we are. So thank you, thank you very much

(P.S. this is actually a light Photoshop job, because I missed the exact moment of 1,000,000 views, I caught it at 1,000,001)

It just occurred to me I could have made a video about "1992 Sci Fi movie" for April fools. Damn, missed opportunity, that would have been funny.

A new video dropped today, in case you missed it.

In my ongoing, though unintentional effort to cover Rockstar Games' entire back catalogue, today's video covers possibly thier most underrated game, as well as possibly the most paradoxically good game of it's era, The Warriors.

No April fools Day video this year, that whole thing is played out.

But I do need help with something. In an upcoming video, one of the main topics revolves around the rise of ironic, self referential media in the 2010s. I have about 6 or 7 examples that I thought of off the top of my head. But if you can think of any media that fits this bill, let me know so I can include it.

Good or bad, any media type, doesn't matter. As long as it prioritized (or at least had) ironic and self referential humor and came out between the years of 2011 and 2020.

Thanks.

In case you missed it, a new video dropped today

Today is the 20th year anniversary of the original God of War. These types of anniversaries don't come up very often, so I took the opportunity to take a deep dive into the game and examine it critically. It's also only for occasions like this that I decide to put myself into the thumbnail.

Hello Bacon Brigade, been a while since I called y'all that.

Just wanted to say thanks to all the people who have shown up in droves over the past couple weeks. In particular, my Legend Of Spyro video is performing and continues to perform much better than I expected. I couldn't even sleep the night before it was released because I was deathly anxious over the idea of having spent all that time and mental energy on a video that might end up dying. So thank you.

As for any particular announcements, this month is the 20-year anniversary of the original God Of War, so I wanted to finally get off my ass and actually do a proper deconstructive analysis on that game. Naturally it turned out much longer than I anticipated. I wanted to make sure that video was finished for the anniversary before I got to work on any other God of War videos I had planned. So a long story short, you're getting two new God of War videos by the end of the week. So if you're here for God of War, you're in the money this month, if you're not into God of War, or are sick of me talking about it, we will be back to our regularly scheduled programming next month.

Since people really liked my Humongous Entertainment video, there are a few other companies I'd like to do retrospectives on. Plus, since I played quite a lot of Bully over the past couple months, it made me hanker to go play it's sister game. So perhaps something's coming your way on that front.

As a final note, Di-Gata Defenders season 2. I'm quite happy with the performance on that video considering what I was expecting. With that said. Season 2 will be possibly my greatest undertaking on this channel. Which is why I've decided I won't be tackling that particular hurdle until season 1 hits 50,000 views. I can't justify the time until I know it'll be worth it.

All right I think that's all the news I have for now, stay tuned.

(Picture semi related, these are the blades of chaos replicas I bought)
