Geshe Yong Dong, is a Tibetan Bön Lama, spiritual teacher and chanting master. Born in Amdo, Tibet, Geshe Yong Dong studied Bön Buddhism in monasteries in Tibet and India for over eleven years. In 1992 he became a Geshe (translates as Doctor of Divinity) at the largest Bön Monastery in Tibet. He has been teaching for over twenty years in centres and universities around the world and is known for his warm, relatable teaching style and his beautiful chants.
Geshe Yong Dong founded Sherab Chamma Ling, a Tibetan Bön Buddhist centre located in British Columbia Canada, in order to preserve the ancient teachings, transmissions and practices of the Bön Buddhist tradition, the indigenous religion of Tibet and to benefit all living beings.
