in the future - u will be able to do some more stuff here,,,!! like pat catgirl- i mean um yeah... for now u can only see others's posts :c
I didn't want to make a whole video on this yet but I tried Bloodborne again on my GEEK1S and I was getting much more reliable performance than last time I checked. It's modded with patches and resolution is lowered as well, and Lossless Scaling can make some areas look really smooth at 60fps. But this is a really nice window into the future of this even on a handheld PC. Made a video for my twitter so check it out there if you want to see!

I had a really strong feeling the Retroid Pocket 5 was going to be a really polished and good looking handheld. I'll be getting mine at the same time as everyone else and the wait is definitely tough. Honestly I think the RP5 will replace my Odin2, just like how the RP3+ replaced my Odin Pro, with the Portal being that big cozy home handheld. I still think the RPMini is great but yeah it seems now I can only truly recommend it for 4:3 enthusiasts and if that slightly smaller form factor matters for your pocketable needs.

Retroid have just released a statement that the shipping of the RP5 has been delayed until November 14th to fix the remaining bugs that are a result of ensuring we get Android 13 on the device at a launch. While it's unfortunate, it's good they are committing to as bug free a release as they can. Although these fixes could be applied through an OTA, there may be people who cannot connect their device to a network and not get these important fixes. I'm so eager to get an RP5 so I hope they can ship orders as quickly as possible!

igg.me/at/odin2portal/x/26364276 The Odin2 Portal Indiegogo is live right now. Go to AYN's Discord and check the odin2-portal channel to find some superfan links for an additional $10 off more than the Super Early Bird (they could be taken by the time you've read this though). Just to confirm again they have given the Portal a bigger battery that is 8000mAh and they have listened to feedback. Honestly I've cancelled my EVO order because of this and that they delayed the handheld shipping to late November, and the Portal is expected to ship possibly late December.

I needed to comb the Discord a little to double check this but yes the Portal will have an 8000mAh battery, good move on AYN -- it does seem to be a win win. Couldn't exactly tell if the IGG/Retail price would go up but it's looking like it won't. You can see the prices are very similar to when the Odin2 went live a year ago, this is cheaper than I anticipated so again just a win win all round. More info to come tomorrow.

AYN just release specs for the Odin2 Portal. I decided to stretch it out to compare it to the AYANEO Pocket Evo and add a few categories at the end that are worth considering. The biggest surprise of the Portal's specs is it will have a smaller battery at 6600mAh vs the Odin2's 8000mAh, the Evo comes out on top with an 8600mAh battery. I think the weight of the Portal is really good, they're obviously going for as slim and light as possible which makes sense with using the name Portal to brand this model, the Evo is 63 grams heavier but it has a bit more going on under the hood. I haven't seen info on video output for the Evo but it only has USB-C at the bottom, where the Portal is promising a DisplayPort. I added joysticks because the Portal is using the same sticks as before but the Evo will have full sized sticks, it's worth noting if you were fine modifying the Odin2's sticks then this might not be a problem. And if it concerns you then the Evo's speaker placement is downward firing which I haven't found to be a problem on the GEEK1S due to the size and quality, but the Portal will have front facing speakers which is ideal.
What do you think about these specs and comparisons? Is there anything else you need to consider that would put one over the other?

I was thinking about doing a video on how far Bloodborne has come on ShadPS4 using by GEEK1S Windows handheld, but I had a crash so severe it absolutely crippled my AMD driver and even playing videos was throttling my CPU to near 100%. Fixed it with a clean install of the newest AMD drivers but I just wanted to make a post about this because I've never seen this happen before. If you were thinking about testing it on your 7840u device or something similar I'd be cautious. Also Cemu isn't very good on the Retroid Pocket 4, was testing and decided it wasn't worth making any kind of video on.

First of all I want to say a big thank you for everyone who has subscribed as recently this channel hit 10k subs! So glad people still want to watch my videos and I'm excited about handhelds to come. I should actually have my RP Mini on Friday so I'm thinking I'll have a video on that out on Sunday, it's looking like a good time with little surprise from what I've seen so far, so I'm curious if people still have any questions about it? Let me know and I'll look into it.

A nice surprise today as I'm finally holding a physical Nintendo Switch copy of GRIME! I officially can show people I worked on a Nintendo game (I wrote the soundtrack). Currently working on GRIME 2 which is going to be really special. Also this channel is nearly at 10k subs! Thank you for letting me share my thoughts and discoveries on handhelds, it's very humbling to have nearly reached this milestone just on handhelds and topics I personally enjoy.

I was planning on testing out more Cemu on Odin 2 today but pretty much everything I wanted to test was not playable, either rendering issues or inevitable crashing. But everything that has gotten into game had no indication of running slow, so I'm very optimistic that when the first official Cemu build arrives on Android it should offer a lot to play with on Odin 2.

My name is Alex and I do videos on different handheld devices.
I started this channel to showcase how to get the best performance out of devices that I've been enjoying so everyone can see the value in them. Since then I've become even more interested in handhelds and enjoy reviewing them as well as customizing them through modifications or certain software.
You'll find plenty of videos on the AYN Odin and the Retroid Pocket 3+, and I look foward to doing more videos on more handhelds in the future!
