The many moods of Bombo. Going back to 2011 for the first shot of the night sky, 2016 for the wedding shoot, 2017 for the drone shot (with my old Phantom 4), 2022 for the big wave shot and 2023 for the sunrise image. They're currently installing a raised walkway in the quarry to make it more accessible.

The latest episode of the Vitamin D Diaries is currently rendering in Final Cut. It's in 4K again this time around, but YouTube takes longer to process 4K videos so it'll only show as 1080p initially. It was actually something of an experimental video because all but two shots (the last two) were shot on my amazing new 100-400mm zoom lens that I got for my brilliant Fujifilm X-T4 camera. It's great being able to bring subjects so close and I look forward to using it more in some forthcoming travel videos I have planned. I also have some new compilation videos in the works, as you guys seem to really enjoy them. Thanks for all the brilliant support I receive on this channel and enjoy the new film. :)

Hey guys. Didn't realise I had access to these blog posts on YouTube so figured I'd give it a go. Like everyone else on planet earth, my future plans have fallen by the wayside somewhat. I wanted to spend the summer here in South Coast NSW filming new content for this channel, but then the worst bushfires in Australian history hit.

Those fires burnt a full 80% of this entire massive region. That meant that all the national parks I was going to show off and explore and video were looking apocalyptic. They will regenerate of course, but the fires were so bad that their effects will be visible for a long time to come.

After the fires we had floods. Mercifully not for very long, but coming off the back of the bushfires it felt like someone was trying to tell me something. And I don't need to tell you all what happened in March that put paid to pretty everyone's exploring and adventuring.

Here in Australia we did pretty well, but thanks to some security guards in quarantine hotels who couldn't keep their dicks in their pants, we are going through a second wave here. It's a fraction of the scale of other countries, but disappointing nonetheless. It doesn't help that a good percentage of Australian society are behaving like sulky little kids and completely ignoring all directions, recommendations and laws around lockdowns and facemasks and self isolation. So it's probable that my state of New South Wales will go into lockdown too - the (right-wing) premier of the state is desperately trying to avoid a lockdown, but the virus is tenacious and people are stupid and inevitably she's going to have to give in and roll in the restrictions once more.

I started doing my Vitamin D Diaries for folks who love the south coast of NSW but couldn't get here due to the pandemic. I'll carry on doing them, in lieu of full travel videos, as and when I am able. In the mean time, be sure to check out the photoblogs I regularly post on my website - my latest can be found here - andyhutchinson.com.au/seeing-in-the-sunrise-on-sev…

Alright, stay safe friends and thanks for your support on the Barefoot Geek channel. :)
