During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, like many others, I faced frustration due to the lockdown, which impeded my career advancement.
Firstly, my fellowship examination, which qualified me as a consultant, was postponed, understandably so.
Secondly, I couldn't leave Nigeria to start the new job I had secured in the UK due to the lockdowns. When the lockdown was lifted and emergency workers were allowed to travel, my employers informed me that I couldn't start work because I was 7 months pregnant. "Chai, na only me waka come?" 😅😅😅
Let's rewind to when I secured this job. In early 2019, I landed a position with the NHS and was already planning my move from Nigeria. However, I encountered a setback when I failed the exams necessary for GMC registration (the only way to practice as a doctor in the UK), resulting in the loss of my job.
Despite this, I boldly requested the HR to reserve my slot, assuring them I would retake the exams and return. Remarkably, they agreed. This bold move defined my resilience during that challenging period. What an AUDACITY!🔥😅(Watch the full video of how I smashed my goals within 2 years of relocating to the UK on my YouTube channel.)
Fortunately, I passed the exam in October 2019 and went back to the recruiters. I got another job around November and began the travel process again, only for COVID to hit, then I got pregnant and all the shenanigans that happened afterward.
If you managed to read to this point, I hope you can understand how frustrated I was about my situation then. It was in the middle of the pandemic that AUDACIOUS was birthed.
The desire to become more and develop the courage to do so, in the midst of chaos and uncertainty. All the bold moves I made were out of fear, but I did it afraid, and I have had tremendous success in all aspects of my life.
AUDACIOUS stands as my flagship course; a 4-week self-awareness coaching program designed for individuals seeking to transition from autopilot living to a vision-driven life.
AUDACIOUS 2024 is happening in the month of MAY with limited seats available.

I’m excited to share that I’ve been chosen as one of the delegates for this year’s United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW68).@unwomenuk
By now, you all should know how passionate I am about women’s mental health, self-love, self-care and how I advocate for women to prioritise themselves.
It’s interesting to see how one’s dreams gradually unfold when you work hard, consistently, and don’t give up in the face of challenges. The quote ‘Success comes when opportunity meets preparation’ is indeed true.
I eagerly anticipate the two-week experience of learning and networking that this incredible opportunity will provide. I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to give back through this volunteering role @unwomenuk
Happy International Women’s Day ❤️

Bonjour de Paris, France 🇫🇷 🇫🇷 🇫🇷
Which is your favourite slide?
1st slide: I entered Louvre Museum after being on the queue for an hour because I did not book online prior to my visit.
2nd slide: My pose with the popular Mona Lisa painting by Leonardo da Vinci.
3rd slide : At the famous Eiffel Tower, the tallest building and one of the most visited tourist attraction centre in France.
4th slide: With Venus de Milo, the Greek goddess of love and beauty, believed to represent Aphrodite. It is recognisable by its missing arms.
5th slide: At the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, popularly known for its theatres, cafés, luxury shops and the Arc de Triomphe that is just right behind me.
“It is your responsibility to take care of yourself and prioritise activities that bring you joy and peace. Never leave that to chance. Do it intentionally.”-Dr Adeola
