The Streaming Wars in Music was a different time...

But we're living it all over again, just in a different form, this time content.

Livestreaming competitors all bidding for streamers to represent their Twitch competitor, but when will it end?

My guess is very soon.

Just like this video dropping.

People thinking I actually use A.I. for my voice now is hilarious.

Makes me actually want to just say f*** it and really use it then.

No, I have never used AI on my voice at all, in any capacity, (yet, haha) if you are noticing difference in audio it is because I started editing the sound now. Experimenting with different sounds and what sounds most polished for the style of videos I am making.

I do get that for some of you that have watched 500+ videos, you can feel the change in your ears when you're so used to hearing something one way, (which was just straight raw audio recording for years, lmao).

Appreciate all the comments as usual though!

Some artists really put their entire soul in their music.

I've been listening to a lot of Tory Lanez lately, regardless of what is going on with him, I've found an appreciation that I didn't have prior to 2019. Not only was he talented but listening to a lot of his albums when he was going through everything, you can tell, he would be doing this if there wasn't money in it. I feel like that's something we often take for granted or neglect with how commoditized music is right now; there are tons of songs out, a lot of them great, hell even some songs are references that the artist just performed.

BUT...

There are certain people that invoke emotion in us with their music that it feels almost criminal how we can just listen to their art for free (or the small price of a music subscription). There's good music, there's great music, then there's soulful music... and not the genre. (Another example of what I'm trying to explain is Kodak Black, in particular the Institution mixtape.)

A big question that has had some people perplexed these past several days is NF's album HOPE projected to sell 116k first week with 78k in pure album sales. Sure, a large part of the 78k is a physical album box set and signed albums, but every rapper and artist is playing by the same rules and he still beat them by a large margin. The reason is simple; whoever his audience is, he made this type of music for them, and it was a no brainer for them to pull out their wallet and pay to support & represent the message he is putting out into the world.

I'm not quite sure what compelled me to write this (it's 1:11AM) but if there is any takeaway make it this; take something you worked hard for (your money) and spend it on an artist you feel makes this type of music for you because they worked hard on it too, whether that be a ticket, piece of merchandise, or anything else.

If you can't, at least take the time out of your day to write them a thoughtful DM, the smaller they are, the more they will appreciate it.
