I just want to point out for everyone the passage and highlight below, from the 2014 Dungeon Master's Guide on spell scrolls. I can also confirm that the same language regarding casting time remains in the 2024 Dungeon Master's Guide

In high school, these passions culminated when I was invited to play Dungeons & Dragons, which sparked a new passion for the world of tabletop roleplaying. My love for the game quickly led to me becoming a "forever DM". Since then I have run numerous campaigns, spanning multiple years—including a Buffy the Vampire Slayer campaign every Friday night for 7 years in my childhood basement.
