Shawna is an independent filmmaker who specializes in telling stories for and about the queer community, women, people of color, and other marginalized groups. Her long-term goal is to found a production company that hosts the work of creators who don't often see themselves represented on screen. Her new film Popping the Question was released onto streaming platforms in summer of 2021.
