Through the organisation of residencies, Hors Pistes initiates creative exchanges between artisans and designers. During a month long residency, designers and craftsmen share their respective skills and explore a craft technique. The resulting collaborations foster the transfer of artisanal know-how and question its heritage and future, by proposing new applications to traditional manufacturing methods.
An editorial team follows the workshops by capturing the working atmosphere of the residence and living environment.
By going “off-road”, Hors Pistes offers professionals the opportunity to participate in a multidisciplinary laboratory and to reflect on conventional production models by encouraging innovative creative processes..
