Act 1:
it starts with Riley’s parents going on a trip to Hawaii while 18 year old Riley stays at home with a few friends. Joy and the other emotions doing their thing until Riley hears about some missing people on the tv, then her friends disappear, now she gets insanely worried, but when she thought the worrying was all, a guy came out from behind and knocked her out. While the other emotions were freaking out who that was, a few new, dark emotions come out from nowhere like ghosts. Joy tries to introduce herself but the new emotions introduce themselves instead as: depression, greed, love, hunger, and guilt. Love says hi to joy as the most positive emotion there besides joy (her memory orb color is reddish pink), depression, sadness, and embarrassment are basically friends very quickly as the tear trio. Greed and envy are already trying to steal each other’s stuff in a theft war, hunger is just eating stuff because he’s the fattest one there. Guilt is just sitting in time-out because she and anxiety were fighting for who gets to sit in the chill chair.
Act 2:
Riley wakes up in the woods, tied up to a tree, and realizes someone knocked her out, drove her body into the woods, and tied her up before she woke up. The guy took off his mask and.. it was someone named henry tucker, an teen from her high school, apparently he was hired by a rich ghost or something to take something from Riley. He shows a glowing necklace of 3 hearts, after Riley notices her friendship necklace was stolen, she tries to get unstuck from the tree but is unsuccessful as the guy ran back to his car and drove off.
After 2 hours Riley gets unstuck from the ropes, she goes back to her house only to find her friends tied up to some chairs.
Meanwhile in Riley’s mind:
The emotions are shocked at what the frick just happened to them, cruelty then shows himself out of the shadows, crawling on the walls, staring at the other emotions, and when joy asks who this.. “thing” is he immediately stares at joy and says “HI I’M CRUELTY!!” with a dark ahh smile on her face. Disgust is actually terrified of cruelty and runs back to her room.
Act 3:
Riley and her friends find an abandoned car, get it running, and drive off to where henry is. They end up finding his car and know where he is, he is inside the abandoned pizza planet, ready to create laser shooting robots with Riley’s friendship necklace. Riley is shocked of what henry had became and tries to call the police, but unfortunately the phone gets magnetically charged and gets merged with one of the robots.
Meanwhile in Riley’s mind: cruelty is still crawling on the walls and is pretending to be gollum from lord of the rings, anger is trying to get Riley to fight back, but is unsuccessful because joy and love hold him back.
Act 4: the final act
Henry sends all of his robots to seize Riley into the basement of the abandoned pizza planet building, then Riley starts crying and regrets not going to Hawaii. When she realizes that henry tied her friends to a missile, she breaks from her chains and bolts it over to henry shadow the hedgehog style.
Meanwhile in Riley’s mind yet again:
Cruelty touches the console and causes the brain to shake a bit as she is controlling Riley like that one scene in spongebob, joy tries to pry cruelty off of the console but no effect.
Final battle:
Riley punches henry till he passes out and ends up untying her friends and ties henry to the missile. She also breaks the missile controls, sending the missile up into space, thus defeating henry. They all drive back to their house as the missile drops back down, exploding the pizza planet from behind.
Epilogue:
Riley’s parents come back home to find everything is back to normal and they all have a group hug as the movie ends.
