This is my late-life journey to becoming a physician. I am starting at 44 years old and my goal is to become a practicing physician by age 55. I am counting on my YouTube family of physicians, medical school students, healthcare professionals, and anyone who believes it is possible, for encouragement and accountability. It is easy to back down or give up when you're the only one who knows you have a goal. It won't be easy but it is better when you have people to support and push you. UPDATE: Since 2017 I have earned 2 master's degrees, become a CRMA and Limited License X-ray tech, retook the MCAT (twice), and started medical school (fall 2022) at www.nyit.edu/arkansas at age 49.
