I've gone and done it again! Over 2,000 miles in three days around the UK (including Land's End to John O'Groats) and back for my birthday.
This time in the amazing IONIQ 5! Thanks to Maz for being an amazing co-pilot.
Now I just have to edit all the footage and compile the stats... 😬
A couple of months I went to see the Fully Charged team and record a little interview for them. It's just been published if you want a look.
It was a great day — fantastic to meet Robert and the team. My Fiat 500e looked very special too!
Wow. When I started this channel almost three years and 89 videos ago, I never imagined it reaching 10,000 subscribers! To all of you who've liked, shared, commented (positively or negatively!) and pressed that subscribe button, I just want to say a massive thank you. It means the world to me.
It's an expensive hobby but not one I'm going to stop any time soon: loads of videos coming including a Fiat 500e full review, VW ID.3 review with Flaviana, installing a heat pump and solar thermal at home... and of course the Hyundai IONIQ 5 which I'm dribbling with excitement about. My wife less so.

I’ll film a full update soon (and edit all the footage of course) but just to say that the journey was so much easier than I thought it’d be!
Driving such a long distance in an EV in this country - 1,852 miles, 2,980 km - is not just easy; it’s a pleasure.
The car was perfect. The charging networks all performed well. The only issue was me wanting to do it in three days: that turned out to be impractical. I was far too tired last night to drive back to Canterbury - it just wouldn’t have been safe. I instead stayed over at Ceci’s house in London. (Ceci was my co-pilot if you’ve not seen the live vids).
I still got home on my birthday anyway. It’s a great memory to have on turning 40 and thank you to all those who donated, making it even more special. I’ll be working out charging costs soon and then will update on how much will go to charity.
