About Gregory Pettys
I worked as a freelance television cameraman and photojournalist for NBC and CBS News for over 40 years. Director of Photography on many PBS programs, including as Bill Moyer’s “World of Ideas. Produced and edited numerous award-winning documentaries and corporate videos.
Today I offer my services primarily to nonprofits producing, shooting, and editing videos. I’ve been an Avid editor for 20 years and operate a full Avid video editing suite. I write historical non-fiction articles for publication and produce videos for broadcast and the web. One of my most recent documentary “The Last Voyage of the U-853” about the U-boat sunk off Block Island was shown on RI-PBS and has over six hundred thousand views on YouTube. I love nature and the sea, so a lot of my work is and will be stories about the people and life along the New England coast.
