St. Cecily's English Higher Primary School, Udupi, started by the Apostolic Carmel sisters in 1959, is a Minority Educational Institution as per the Constitution of India, article no. 30(1). The school was granted permanent recognition by the Department of Education Government of Karnataka, in 1965 from Standard I to IX.
St. Cecilia as the Patron Saint of our School, a model of all that is pure and beautiful to the young pupils of St.Cecily's. We have made her Motto, too, in order that the students maybe inspired to choose the hard right against the easy wrong in times of conflict and temptations to yield to the allurements of this world.
