Have you ever felt like you had to pick a lane? Whether it's in business, with a type of client, in politics, or even in hobbies, everyone wants to box us in. But sometimes pushing back against those expectations and doing things the way you want to do them helps you realize who you really are. and I'm ALL about that.

When I first started my Mastermind, I was torn between helping accounting professionals build stronger, more profitable businesses and providing specific payroll advice. It didn't even occur to me to do both - because no one else out there had that model.

I really wanted to help provide detailed, expert knowledge on payroll problems. Because this is something I know and do all day, every day. I knew I could help accounting professionals save hours of time and have the peace of mind that they had found the right answer and could move on to something else without any lingering doubt.


BUT, I also knew that when accounting professionals are stuck on the hamster wheel of client work all day every day, it can be so hard to grow the business to the point where you can do less of that and still make money. And I knew the key things you need to do to move off that hamster wheel.

Eventually I said 'screw it' and just built a Mastermind that did both. I knew it was a risk - maybe no one would understand what I offered when it wasn't the type of mastermind everyone else offered.

But it turned out accounting professionals loved it and found real value in getting quick client answers and building their business in the time they freed up as a result.

I love working with accounting professionals, and I've worked with a lot of them in my years in the industry. But I've noticed they generally fall into 2 categories . . .

The 1st type, they are always hunting the internet and social media for free answers to their business problems. They want a more sustainable, successful business, but they’re constantly in client crisis mode.
Those free resources they download to help them scale —well, they sit in the inbox and quickly get covered up by client info (or more free resources that they also won’t read).

And then there is the 2nd category of accounting professional. They have to deal with client emergencies, sure, but they want to create systems and processes so they can spend less time on each one. They know that they need to carve out time to work on their business, not just in the business.

When they download resources, they allocate some of their precious time to implement what is suggested. And they know that freebies can only get them so far. To build their business sustainably, they need to take the concept of growing their business seriously.

The 1st category has probably watched some of my YouTube videos for advice, and they might even be in my Facebook community, panic posting whenever they have a new client concern. But they won't have researched my Mastermind to find out if it would be a good fit for them. Or jumped on a call with me to find out if they are a match for the group.

They won't have thought about how an accounting-specific business growth mastermind could help them with client emergencies AND level up the business by bringing on employees and contractors to help them grow.

Those in category 2- well they are probably doing all those things right now, knowing the doors to the Mastermind close on October 2nd.
