Ginberry. Of all the novelty fruit that I grow and many of them take a lot of fruit before you feel like you get a good amount, this is one of my favorite. Campomanesia macrobracteolata… yes of course I have a silly little video coming out about it. Part of the sign of growing all this rare fruit is waiting for years if not decades for these things to find fruit. This is the second fruiting, but this time I have like 20 fruit instead of one. Annona longiflora observations: the tree itself is Beautiful reminding me of Annona diversifolia. It’s an excellent pollen donor for many other Annona. However, it is a tiny bit harder to pollinate than some Annona and even though I have been successful a few times the fruit has dropped off when it’s about the size of a golf ball. Syzygium jambos aka rose apple is a super delicious fruit in my opinion. Look how weird, you wouldn’t even know this is the same fruit and it’s even from the same tree. Must’ve been a pollination issue I am assuming but one is so long and narrow, and the other one is chubby. This is a plant. I suggest anyone growing if they like a light refreshing crisp fruit, it does taste like rosewater, but in the best most palatable way! #gardening #fruit #rarefruit #syzygium #garden #growyourown

Cherimoya, atemoya and Annona longiflora seems to be cross compatible. In three of these photos, you’ll see Cherimoya and atemoya pollinated with longiflora. In one, it’s Annona longiflora pollinated with a cherimoya/atemoya pollen mix. I think this is very cool. Annona longiflora is absolutely gorgeous as a tree much like ilama so I’m looking to make as many hybrids as I can this year. A plant and gardening channel for everyone. I’m a creative person that has become obsessed with growing rare, unusual, odd, and endangered plants. Hoyas and rare fruit trees are just a few of favorite plants to grow. Currently I live in Los Angeles, but plan to make the epic journey to Hawaii to establish a farm that will be an oasis for unusual and odd edible plants and houseplants. This is a channel about weird and cool fruits and plants, pretty or freaky plants, like Hoya, orchids, aroids, begonias and epiphytes as well as how to connect with nature.
