Since everyone is sharing their top posts from 2022, I thought I’d share some top pics that I forgot to share when I first shot them 😁

These were for the website I made with Wix. You can see the finished site at āž”ļø aliciamaehirte.com

The site definitely looks better on a computer than a phone (working on that part) But still, I can’t believe I created a website of this magnitude by myself! Thanks Wix!

Holding: Canon EOS M50 II on the Zhiyun Weebill S
Wearing: Free People
Shot by @caydengrooms who is likely using a full-frame Sony šŸ“ø

We discovered this beautiful little hidden beach in Pensacola, Florida and ended up returning several times to shoot bits of content for YouTube videos. I miss that feeling of sand and tropical tree bark between my toes! It’s ok tho, because I am back in Florida for the holidays and will probably hit the beach today šŸ’™

THIS, my friends, is the Nikon Z fc. It’s a retro-styled mirrorless camera packed with modern-day capabilities.

I’ve been working with @NikonUSA over the past few months to test it out and see how fun and easy it is to use as a vlogging camera!

I just published a full video detailing my experience- WATCH IT NOW > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUorD...

#sponsored

In the video, we consider the Nikon Z fc’s awesome manual dials, vibration reduction feature (image stabilization), creative picture settings, fully articulating flip-out screen, and eye-auto focus- which can even be set to detect ANIMAL EYES!

I even point out a few RETRO features that make the Nikon Z fc better for vlogging than modern-day styled cameras!

Leave a comment on the video with your thoughts and questions about the Nikon Z fc!
I can’t wait to continue the discussion about this cool camera.

Hey Friend,

By popular request, I created a detailed video demonstrating the balance of the Crane M3 gimbal with the Canon M50 and Sigma 16mm vlogging lens!

It's a bit tricky, but when balanced properly this setup will allow you to capture cinematic-quality footage in a very casual way.

If you're struggling with this particular setup, or just want to have a closer look at the capabilities of this gear then I hope this video helps!

The word is out- we are officially moving BACK to California in June!

Ever since I left San Diego in 2017- pregnant with Ella and moving for Brian’s final stretch in the Navy in Pensacola, I figured we would one day return.

I moved out there from Maryland with my little sister in 2008.. during that totally boring recession šŸ™„ We were both college grads, yet spent the first 5 years struggling with the other young people in Pacific Beach to survive, pay crazy rent, and live the California dream.

Rather than ever getting a ā€˜real’ job on the west coast I built small businesses, worked odd jobs in modeling, marketing and photography, and eventually learned that I didn’t need a real job. Thanks recession!

I did end up with a full-time job eventually, but with a company on the east coast. This further fueled my location-independent lifestyle of travel and freedom. It also led to starting my YouTube channel with the help and inspiration of @jonmiller!

I adore California because it’s full of crazy people with big dreams. Rarely will you meet someone living in the coastal cities who hasn’t been around the world, and fought hard to make a life in a highly competitive area. My favorites are the east coasters who keep their edge, but soften it a bit with west coast living. Of course, the Navy pilots out there aren’t bad either.

Brian and I had some wild times in San Diego before he left for Italy, Bahrain, and eventually circled back around to scoop me up. This time will be very different (and much easier) but I hope that we can introduce Ella to some exciting new things and expand her world immensely!

We will absolutely miss Pensacola, our chill little beach town on the gorgeous gulf coast of Florida. I am trying to soak it all in before I leave, while battling the absolute chaos of moving. I will post updates when I can!

And most importantly, stay tuned for a solid look at a new vlogging camera I’ve been exploring šŸ“ø Hopefully coming next week!

Are you a Sony crop sensor mirrorless camera user?
If so, you are IN LUCK because SIGMA once again created a lens like nothing to ever exist before ā£šŸ™ŒšŸ»
⁣
The new 18-50mm f/2.8 DC DN Contemporary lens is the smallest ZOOM ever made for crop sensor mirrorless cameras with a large constant aperture of f/2.8. ⁣
⁣
And the imagery it produces is gorgeous!! ⁣
⁣
I just published a video explaining everything. It includes a TON of demo footage from different environments and situations.
⁣WATCH: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IH2PB...

It’s the perfect vlogging lens because it can not only capture your classic, front-facing vlogging shot with a bit of background blur, it also extends to get cinematic closeup shots that add variety to your vlog as a whole.⁣
⁣
And because it is MADE for crop sensor mirrorless cameras, it is TINY. ⁣
It’s the perfect companion for the Sony ZV-e10.
⁣
The only thing I regret to report is that it is not yet made for the Canon M50 (with an M mount) Currently it’s only available in a Sony E mount or Leica L mount. ⁣

Of course, I am HOPING Sigma will make this with a Canon M mount soon. I know that so many of us would love it ā™„ļø

Let me know what you think of the video, and if you are a Canon or Sony user šŸ˜„
