I love you
I donāt really know where I thought I would be in my life and/or career, somewhat safely at 31 and wildly careering towards 32. 2 albums and a fistful of songs to my name, 600 or so shows. Itās both where, and nowhere near where I want to be.
I have chased stress and fear and lusted after regret and resentment and it has gotten me exactly where I am- somewhere? I guess?
In the last couple of months I made the conscious effort to show up to myself for myself. I am no longer willing to flail into feelings of shame because of my wants and desires. I feel Iāve let down those who have tried to love me. Their love for me failing to find purchase on the grounds of my love for myself, which is rocky and loose and falling apart. But no more. Iām laying down thick soil. I am loving myself.
This tour has been a reward of that work. I havenāt known how to accept the adoration you have beamed at me in the past - the heat of it has made me sweat - but now i feel its warmth and its comfort and I have been tasted the sweetness of it, and I am truly thankful for you.

In 2016 Jack Garratt released his debut album āPhaseā on Island Records. The multi-instrumentalist wrote, arranged and performed every track. In the same year Garratt was awarded a number of prestigious British music accolades and embarked on a world tour, ending in two sold out nights at Londonās Hammersmith Apollo in 2017. In the immediate aftermath Garratt wrote and swiftly discarded a draft of album two, before setting up in the studio with co-producers James Flannigan and Jacknife Lee ā embarking on what would become his sophomore album āLove, Death & Dancingā. In February 2020 Vol. 1 of the album (tracks 1 ā 3) was unleashed into the world with lead single āTimeā receiving its first play as Annie Macās Hottest Record In The World on BBC Radio 1. Jack has described āLove, Death & Dancingā as, ādance music for people who donāt want to go out,ā and detailed how it chronicles his battle with depression, anxiety, and self-doubt. The new album is out now.
