I have an idea for a grand episode where we give someone a complete designed food forest.
First Prize: You win a Permaculture designed food forest to match your land and climate. Designed by my friend and legendary Permaculture Teacher Geoff Lawton. You win a plan and all the plants that are best for your land and climate anywhere in the Wonderful land Down Under. Approximately 50 fruit trees, plus understory plants, shrubs and bushes.
It can be your property, a school, a friends property, your neighborβs yard. It can be a residential back yard in a town or city, or a section of your land in the bush. As long as there is room for growth you can enter.

What is this random photo of?
Well, I`m a curious guy with a talent for sharing my curiosity through a glass eye. A CAMERA. I was looking at my Worm Farm the other day as I emptied the compost bucket into it and wondered..."What does it look like inside this worm farm, in amongst the worms? How long will it take for them to eat this banana?
As I do have this ability to actually find out...I did.

The new folks to the channel might not know this as yet, but before Covid, I was working as a commercial Photographer. I started the channel during lock down, just to keep my cameras working, but when things started to normalize again, I decided to discontinue my photography business to continue making videos for you guys in The Weedy Garden.
Fact is I am getting more satisfaction for my work today than I ever have had. I want to stay here too, but I need your participation to help support the journey folks. I no longer have clients that pay the bills. YOU are my clients these days :-) The Weedy Garden is funded by it`s own existence and your interaction with it.

The MyCause campaign ends on my birthday 9th May...in less than two weeks.
The goal is to replace BOTH cameras. Each sequence can take weeks or months to capture, so having another camera means being able to see and share more interesting visual experiences with you.
We have reached half way, so I now have Shooter to help in the garden. This is one frame from Shooters first sequence. A time lapse taken over a period of two weeks of a banana in the worm farm. I can`t wait to show you how it looks! The worms have laid hundreds of eggs and have finished eating the banana. I am leaving the camera rolling, taking one frame every five minutes for another month or so.. I want to see if WE will see these little worm eggs hatching! That will look so cool.
I`m making an episode of why I captured it and how. That will come out when the little worms hatch.
Anyway, thanks for reading this post and again...welcome to all the newbies to the channel, thanks to the Weedy Watchers out there who have been following from the beginning and all of you in between :-)

I began planting seeds for this garden and my channel during lock-down in March 2020.
My previous work as a commercial and travel photographer came to an end. I put my camera gear to good use in this garden to fuel a deep love for nature and our Extraordinary Earth. I am fulfilling a life long dream where I can enjoy my own fresh organic food on a daily basis. A survival garden where I can thrive, enrich my health, my soul and overall Wellbeing. I call it The Feel Good Factor!
The videos on the Weedy Garden channel are created because I love to film and share what I am learning. I want to convey that love through my camera, to motivate people to embrace the garden and connect with nature and re-discover how amazingly enriching it actually IS.
