🎶⭐👏😊 April 28, 2024 - Eric Burdon was on an Italian TV show last night, 'I migliori anni', Rai1, with a performance of House of the Rising Sun. Here's some clips of it. Such a thrill to see him and to get a standing ovation too! Quite emotional seeing Eric, especially with The Animals video from 60 years ago playing in the background. Such a wonderful clip!

(Born 19 April 1942, County Durham, England).
Keyboards, songwriter, The ANIMALS (1963-1965, 1975-1976, & 1983), Alan Price Set, Fame and Price, Electric Blues Company, solo, film and theatre scores. His organ-playing on songs by The Animals, such as "House of the Rising Sun", "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood", and "Bring It On Home To Me" was a key element in the group's success.
He appeared on his own television show as well as achieving success with singles, albums, including winning critical acclaim for his musical contribution to the 1973 film O Lucky Man!, and wrote the score to the stage musical Andy Capp. In addition, he has appeared as an actor in films and television productions.
He is still writing and recording songs and gigs locally.

JANUARY 29 - In memoriam, Animals guitarist (and so much more!) HILTON VALENTINE, born 21 May 1943, left us 29 January 2021.
Hilton Valentine started playing guitar in his first year as a teen, and formed a skiffle group named The Heppers while in high school. The group shifted into a Rock mode in 1959, adopting the name The Wildcats which built a reputation in Hilton's native north of England based on his energetic performances. Jump to four years later, future Animals, frontman Eric Burdon, bassist Chas Chandler and keyboard player Alan Price were performing as the Alan Price Rhythm and Blues Combo. Chandler invited Valentine and drummer John Steel to join and the name was changed to The Animals. Eric Burdon attributed much of the success of The Animals to the guitarist, saying, "It really was Hilton who made the early Animals a rock band", adding, "Hilton wasn't just playing rock n' roll, he looked rock n' roll", and called his playing, his appearance, attitude and energy the band's "secret weapon".
