Mumbai, or ex-Bombay as some might know it is truly a city of contrasts. Famous for being the backdrop of Shantaram and Slumdog Millionaire, the city’s poor and millionaires live a few blocks from each other and slums like Dharavi are more popular than Taj Mahal. In Dharavi, amidst dirt and overpopulation, a private, affordable school offers hope through education. Explore Kamathipura, Asia's largest red-light district and its gangs, and witness Dharavi's vibrant economy fuelled by leather bag workshops and recycling. We’ll walk through Mumbai's bustling streets, see packed restaurants, and ride its crowded trains. Marvel at stunning sunsets while learning about into India's rich religion scene and the vibrant world of Bollywood. Join me to explore how India lives today!

Myanmar is a land of contrasts, where shimmering pagodas stand alongside widespread poverty. While the elites play golf, many struggle for food, but still believe they’re middle-class because they have a place to live. In this video, I explore various cities and places of Myanmar, from the capital Naypyidaw, and ex-capital Yangon to the historic city of Mandalay. I immerse myself in the local culture, participating in the New Year water festival and speaking with a monk about Buddhist traditions. Join me to discover what life is truly like for the people of Myanmar and whether the strict military junta rule crashed their dream for freedom and independence.

A motivational post about staying positive. Six months ago, I dislocated my arm while skiing. A doctor reattached it, and I began my recovery.

I decided to go for a 50 km bike ride. The strong wind slowed me down, but on the way back, I pedaled with the wind, whistling a tune.

I lost concentration and crashed. Some kind drivers took me to the hospital. X-rays confirmed a broken femur and shoulder. I needed emergency surgery. Just before I went under, the anesthesiologist told me to think of something pleasant. I thought of the cheerful tune and passed out.

When I woke up, I was in a good mood. I couldn't use my right arm or leg and had to learn to walk with one crutch.

Am I discouraged? No! I've had incredible experiences, my body has three new screws, and I can think of a new sport to try. Remember my secret to success: running + biking + wine.

If I'm not down, neither should you be! There's no place for sadness in a bright future. Sending you all a one-armed hug.
