Copenhagen Baroque Festival takes place in September in Copenhagen and offers unique concert experiences with Danish and international Baroque musicians. Explore the program, which includes grand orchestral and choral concerts, intimate soloist performances, music devotions, and much more.
Copenhagen Baroque Festival is founded and led by recorder player Bolette Roed. The initiative has sprung from a love for Baroque music and the desire to create encounters between different musicians, ensembles, and soloists across borders and generations, allowing the music to flourish in new constellations.
The festival has a longstanding collaboration with Arte dei Suonatori, one of the first Baroque orchestras in Poland. Soloists, choirs, and other groups from near and far are invited, and each year, the festival's program is based on a larger theme. In 2023, the theme was 'State of Mind,' exploring the states of mind that music can accommodate. In 2024, the theme will be 'Fantastic tales.'
