This sort of thing isn't a copyright issue and clearly falls under "fair use". They were not required to ask me before using this video from my channel. Would have been nice but it wasn't expected or required.
The only thing that bugs me is that Ironman filed a take down notice on Facebook for one of my videos titled "Becoming an Ironman in 2020" which was a satirical video poking fun at Ironman for keeping registrations open during the pandemic while knowing they were not going to be able to have a race (and then not issuing refunds to athletes). It's still up on YouTube, probably because it didn't use any of Ironman's footage and parody also falls under fair use. π€·ββοΈ
