Gaurav Gogoi is an Indian politician and social worker of the Indian National Congress from Assam. A three-term Member of Parliament, he represents the Jorhat constituency in the 18th Lok Sabha.
Mr. Gogoi is a member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance and Government Assurances. He is the chairperson of the Parliamentarian Group for Children. He is also the Convenor of the Members of Parliament Group on Clean Air. He holds a Master's in Public Administration from New York University and a Bachelor of Technology degree from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. Before joining politics, he also served as a Policy Aide with the Permanent Mission of India to the United Nations in New York and volunteered on various projects in Cambodia, Palestine, and the United States.
His key interests lie in economics, ecology, international relations, and youth development. He writes regularly for leading media publications.
