I'm working on my digital ecommerce store.
I updated the hero with keywords and benefit with some social proof. I will reach out to my customers if they are happy for me to use their avatars.
I will ask for testimonials too.
Any feedback welcome

Happy new year. It’s time to start shipping as a designer. AI is closing the gap.
Get better at creating PRDs with OpenAI,
Development plans and prompts. Then use Cursor AI or other similar tools to build.
Distribution, build in public.
Start with micro saas or niche tools so that your codebase won’t be complex.

Have a Merry Christmas and spend time with family. I've been thinking a lot about this channel and what I want to do for next year. I'm going to share my ideas with you before the new year and get your feedback, which is important, this will be about the content I plan to do and a channel name rebrand.
I've been using AI more now, and have used it with a client recently, in terms of development. Being a Designer will always be my first love, but to grow and create your own ideas, I think will be my next chapter and I hope to have you on this journey. We can skill up together and go for our dreams.
Lots of love,
Roy

Gonna build portfolio over the weekend.
Figma > v0 > CursorAI > GitHub > Vercel
I might start the with products and change home to about. Can always iterate afterwards. I think the side menu fits a lot of use cases.

One workflow as a designer who ships with AI:
1. Design in Figma (link page example)
2. Add image/prompts in v0 to get the first version (current step)
3. Open Cursor AI and start with Next.js and Shadcn/ui, bring code over from v0. Make changes.
4. Git init, create GitHub repo, push to repo
5. Deploy to Vercel

Currently using Cursor AI to fill the development gap as a designer. It has enabled me to:
1. Make components
2. Adopt a GitHub workflow
I would not have this opportunity without AI. The client is also aware of this and is using it in their workflow.
I do have some experience but not to this level.
Are you doing this or would you be interested in a video about this workflow?

As a designer who wants to level up. Do you build a portfolio of tiny apps for the skill? Should you think about monetizing?
Or do you aim for the sky and make a big app that you feel is scary. Scary is different for many or subjective like design.
If you approach the scary idea in a beta mvp phase. Release it early to only a few users. Get feedback, make a landing page. Make a small or one feature set. See where that takes you.
I will be releasing a beta app soon.

It’s been a scary few years for us Designers. It’s time to face these challenges ahead and stand out in tough market.
I’m building a personal brand which is for the long term but it has helped me through the rough times.
You can do this, but start now. I’m still learning.
