The Reasons Why (1983-1987) formed out of the ashes of The Clones (1978-1980) in Sydney, Australia during the early 1980s.
The Reasons Why first performed live on New Years Day, 1983 and went on to record several singles, only one of which, 'In the End' (b/w Big Words/Undecided), was released in 1987 on Phantom Records. The single made number 3 in the independent charts at the time.
The Reasons Why went through several line-up changes but finally split permanently in November of 1987.
