There is a fine line between stealing and referencing. Stealing is the intentional mimicking of ones style and or theme and claiming orginality over it. A prime example of this is tracing and stealing artwork. Referencing is the mimicking of ones style and or theme, however you add your own originality and twist. This makes no two artstyles or themes the same. Will they be related or similar in a way? Yes. Are they the same concept? No. You cannot own a stylistic choice of eyes or hair. Just because one artist has a similar style to another does not mean it was stolen. They may have similar body styles but the hair is different. They have similar face shapes but the eyes are not. You can take inspiration from another artist but it will always be different in some way. Thats the amazing thing about artwork, referencing is important to growing your style and learning. Anyone saying that "____ is copying _____", please take a look at your artstyle. I assure you it is not original and has been influenced by outside media such as Steven Universe, The Owl House, or any mainstream cartoon/art media. You can't create something from nothing.
Art theft is not real. Pose theft is not real. Color palette theft is not real. You can have a similar art style, pose, or color scheme to another artist, that does not mean you are copying them, unless you are intentionally mimicking one's style. You cannot own an art style, pose, or color palette. That's like saying anyone who paints the outdoors is stealing Van Gogh's style. He did not invent paint or painting of nature, he simply enjoys it and other people may enjoy it too. It's not copying it's inspiration. One artist can have a major influence on the way many others use colors and styles and that's important for improvement. The art community needs to get their head out of their ass and bffr.

Its been officially a week since my wisdom teeth surgery, the swelling is all gone and my mouth isnβt bleeding anymore yayyy :D I am still in pain and very tired but im improving and slowly getting better :> I planned to make an animation but idk which one to make ghfhfh but it wont be a loop one finally like my others π
