This is a phrase I live by when doing repetitive tasks. You save half of your time by doing things in batches rather than going back and forth.

If you want to know what I’m talking about, here’s a good video to watch!

Have you ever felt like electrical schematics are just too complicated to understand, and only meant to be understood by a chosen few?

But what if I told you that mastering these electrical blueprints isn't actually that difficult? And is the foundation for all the other skill sets to build upon.

Your Controls & Automation journey starts here with electrical schematics, understanding schematics will help you with general electrical controls, panel modifications, minor design work and most importantly FAULT FINDING!

Kris joined our Specialist training program and even though he had a lot on his plate in terms of work load and family commitments he still finished the program with flying colours and completed all the real world scenarios we set him.

Appreciate the kind words Kris! 👊🏼

Have you heard the expression “it’s quicker to do 1 thing 10 times rather than 10 things once” this is a philosophy I live and work by.

It’s something I apply every time I build a control panel, especially when measuring out wire lengths, cutting them, identifying them, stripping them, crimping them and terminating them.

I timed myself doing the same amount of cables the regular dumb method and the smart method shown in the photos above. Let me know in the comments how much faster you think the smart method was 👇

READ THIS GENERIC ANSWER…

”Relays are switches that open and close circuits electromechanically or electronically. Relays control one electrical circuit by opening and closing contacts in another circuit.”

WERE YOU ABLE TO CONCEPTUALLY UNDERSTAND A RELAY FROM READING THAT?

Because I wasn’t… I don’t learn well through reading, I need to see things as a visual learner.

If you’re the same as me comment “RELAY” and I’ll dm you some free training on this topic.

Anish was one of our first Control System Specialists members, we helped him go from being a maintenance engineer, to a commissioning engineer, and now a design engineer working for SSE.

Huge respect for Anish, some one who puts in the work and takes action! 👊🏼
