The Berliet T100, also known as “the desert giant,” was an extraordinary truck designed and manufactured by Berliet in the 1950s. Here are some details about this impressive vehicle: Design and Power: The Berliet T100 trucks had a 6x6 design and were equipped with a 29.6 liter Cummins V12 diesel engine, which provided 600 hp and was later upgraded to 700 HP. These trucks were intended for off-road use, especially in the oil and mining industries for oil exploration in the Sahara. Historical Significance: The first Berliet T100 was built in just nine months and was presented at the 1957 Paris Motor Show. Due to its size, it did not fit in the main exhibition pavilion, so Berliet built a special external pavilion to display this huge truck.
