So I've been seeing comments popping up on my platform as of lately, and I've tried my best to ignore them since they're obviously wrong and in bad faith, but it's gotten to the point where I feel like I need to address them before this gets out of hand.
If you don't wanna read me yapping, the long in short of this post is, I did not, at ANY POINT, defend Ava Tyson. Anyone who says I did is not to be trusted. She is an irredeemable snake and I hope she rots, not just for the obvious, but for retroactively sending back the entire LGBTQ+ community by literal decades. Fuck Ava Tyson.
A few months ago, someone brought a frequent detractor of my work to my attention, saying how he was making videos directed towards me (I'm gonna try my best to refrain from mentioning the detractor in question by name as much as possible, because even though he's probably reading this, I do not encourage or condone harassment towards him or his peers). In response, I claimed he was transphobic and ableist so I didn't take him seriously, which was a claim backed up by his video on Ava Tyson where he spends about 5 seconds actually talking about what she did, and spends the rest of his video making openly transphobic comments about how she got worse when she turned into a woman, intentionally misgendering and deadnaming her in an attempt to invalidate her identity as a trans women (although I mistakenly did deadname her as well, and I apologize for doing so) and literally using an ableist slur against her simply for wanting to transition.
Other commenters then started claiming I was defending Ava, and I literally state multiple times within the comment thread that I thought she was a monster. Her identity as a trans woman doesn't suddenly become invalid just because she's a terrible pile of shit, it doesn't work like that.
Eventually, the initial detractor in question caught wind of this comment thread, and someone who I think is in his circle made a terrible video on me (that I will not be linking due to fear of people harassing him), completely lying about the comment thread, conveniently skimming over every time I said Ava was a slimy bastard to make me look worse, and literally says that Ava is a man and not a woman, reinforcing the blatant transphobia at play here.
From there onwards, through an absolutely broken game of telephone, people are, for some reason, saying I defended her, which you can instantly put together the fact I did the exact opposite if you look at the comment thread for more than 5 seconds and have at least 10% of your brain turned on.
Let's make something clear right now: "Ava Tyson is an irredeemable monster, but her identity as a trans woman is still valid and should still be respected" and, "Ava Tyson is exempt from all repercussions because she's trans" are two completely different sentences. I said the first thing, NOT the second thing.
What makes this even funnier is that the detractor literally stated "trans people have no rights" in this EXACT SAME THREAD, yet nobody seems to care and only goes after this complete logical fallacy that I defended a predator when I did the exact opposite.
My wording at times during the thread was bad, I will fully admit it, but I did not defend Ava at any point within it. If you still try to argue otherwise, your comment will be deleted and you will be hidden.
As for everyone else, I hope you've been having a better day than I've been. Go drink some water :)

I had to scrap the Triggered video, because it wouldn't make sense to upload it now given it was supposed to motivate him to keep going.
In its place, I'll be revisiting Awesome after 3 years of not watching his content.
