When you look at a disabled person, what do you see- the person or the disability? Do you see the wheel-chair, the twitching, the withered limbs, the feeding tube, the breathing apparatus, or the human beings behind all these?
Disability isn't fun, and neither is it cool, but disabled people can be fun, cool, super-intelligent and extremely able people in their own niche. I have seen great ability in people with disabilities. Just carrying on and smiling in the face of sometimes terminal diagnoses is a special ability.
