“UTANG WILL MAKE YOU POOR”

Some of you will say, “Anong ‘will make you poor’? Eh okay pa naman ako kahit marami akong utang.”

So, ito ang tanong ko, “May utang ka ba?”

Wag ka na lang mag-comment. Alam ko karamihan ng mga tao may utang. Pero ito ang tanong ko, “Bakit ka ba umutang? Ba’t ka umutang?”

Kasi nagkulang yung kita mo.

So, many of us will buy things we do not need kasi merong opportunity na umutang. However, I will always tell people this:

“Yung utang na yan, PINAPAHIRAPAN KA LANG NIYAN!”

Is One Better Than The Other

Is one sin more serious than another? Is there a sin that will send you to hell while another gets you a spank in the hand? Does one sin lead to death, while another is tolerated in heaven?

While there are churches that teach about venial and mortal sin, I noticed that most Christians, regardless of church, believe that there are sins worth condemning and sins worth tolerating.

[8] But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all LIARS, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."

Yung pastor who calls himself a god, is he worse than the boxer/politician who lie and now supports a leader he called a thief? Sabi sa Revelations 21, na the idolater and liar will both go to hell. A thief and an immoral person ba is a better person than a murderer? Revelations 21 says they will both burn in fire and brimstone. I believe it is wrong to call yourself a god and to murder people, but it is equally bad to lie, to steal, and to be immoral.

When someone shared the gospel with me many, many years ago, he told me about James 2:10 NASBS, which says, “For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all.” I have lied, I am as big a sinner as the one who kills. Yet today, this person condemns one politician for his sins, yet tolerates another maski obvious ang corruption and pagiging immoral nya.

I am sharing these sentiments because I am bothered by how we, as Christians, are so condemning of others na ayaw natin, but tolerant of those we like. Okay, lang siguro if they are perfect and have no sin, pero sabi ng Bible that all have sinned. Yet, the one who is perfect and has no sin, si Jesus, told the Pharisees that they should not use the things they know to reject sinners. Sabi pa nya sa kanila that they should learn compassion. In the end, He called them hypocrites kasi as they condemn the sinners, they neglect the fact that they too are sinners.

I am no better than anyone, kasi before the Lord I am a sinner. Though I may not have killed anyone physically, sabi ni Jesus na if I hate a brother in my heart, para sa kanya, I am a murderer. Though I have not physically committed adultery, as I lust in my mind, para sa kanya, I am an adulterer. Though I try to keep myself from lying, I catch myself lying, color white nga lang. Pero lying has no color diba; a lie is a lie.

I cannot condemn anyone, kasi I am a sinner. Pero no sinner has the right to condemn me also. Sabi ng Romans 14:4 NASBS only Jesus has that right, “Who are you to judge the servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls; and he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.”

Many would say that they judge the sinner to defend the Lord. But God does not need you to fight for Him because He can take care of Himself. What He needs from you is explained in Micah 6:8 NASBS, “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”

Instead of condemning those whom you consider sinners, you should focus your energy on making yourself better before the Lord. Instead of being quick to point out their flaws, be faster in showing compassion, as Jesus commands. Para when you finally face God sasabihan ka nya, “Well done, good and faithful,” at hindi, “You hypocrite. Get behind me Satan.”

This blog is not meant to offend anybody but to help people understand that it is wrong for us to condemn one sin and tolerate another. It is also wrong to require others to be righteous kung tayo hindi.

Business Fallacy: Knowledge is Power

Ernie Baron made this expression famous in the 1990s. But it was first quoted from Imam Ali, a Muslim, in 600 a.d. I believe this is the driver why many parents think that education is the greatest treasure they can leave their children. They believe that the knowledge their children will gain in school will give them the power to succeed in the future. I think this is the reason why people invest in books because books help them acquire more knowledge. Fortunately, or unfortunately, today the internet has given people access to more knowledge at the click of the mouse.

Does knowledge give us power? Ako, I say NO! I believe knowledge is useless unless you know how to use it. This is why not everyone who graduates from college succeeds and not everyone who is well informed prospers.

But why do these happen? I believe it is because people are happy and contented with the idea of “knowing.” Like for example, some people define wisdom as knowing right from wrong. But I do not agree with this? Kasi, true wisdom is about DOING what is right, not what is wrong. What is the use of knowing something if you do not act on it? Because of this, I have learned that real power comes when you learn how to apply the knowledge you possess properly.

Please do not get me wrong! I believe education and books are important because knowledge is an essential component of success. But it is just one component of what you need to prosper. After acquiring knowledge, you must strive to develop the ABILITY to apply it; otherwise, your knowledge will lose its power.

1 Corinthians 8:1 says that knowledge will make a person arrogant, but if he couples it with love he will build himself up, including the people around him.

Only Savings Will Make You Rich?

In my book Creating Wealth and Managing Finances, isa sa mga prinsipyong isinulat ko ay:

“Savings will make you rich.”
At may dinagdag pa ako:
“Only savings will make you rich.”

In this video, I explain:
✅ Bakit mahalaga ang disiplina ng pag-iipon?
✅ Paano ito nakakatulong sa pagbuo ng tamang karakter?
✅ Ano ang tunay na nagpapayaman?

Ang perang iniipon mo, hindi yan ang magpapayaman sa’yo. Pero ang natutunan mong disiplina at ang tamang paggamit ng pera mo—yun ang magpapayaman sa’yo!

Jesus said we should learn compassion and show it to those who do not share our faith. If you feel your faith is better than others’, then good for you, but faith is something we should live out, not something we impose on others. The right faith blesses others and does not hurt them.

WHAT IS SO SPECIAL ABOUT THE AGE 30?

Years ago, I was seated with the owner of the company where I spoke and got a chance to talk to his 23-year-old daughter. She was very nice, and she reminded me of my own daughter Denise. She just graduated from college the previous year, so I asked her about her plans. She then started enumerating all the things she wants to do and the interests she would like to pursue. I told her, “Wow, napagod naman ako for you.” She then said, “Sayang kasi ang oras; I need to accomplish enough by the age of 30 so that I can call myself successful.” So I asked her why, and her response reminded me of Denise.

You see, months before that, I had the same conversation with Denise. She was then sharing with me all the things she wants to accomplish and the places she wants to go to before she turns 30. It seems that millennials are targeting to be successful by the age of 30. So I asked Denise, “Why? Why do you want to accomplish so much in such a short time? Why do you pressure yourself about all these goals? Why don’t you just enjoy life as a journey? You will get there naman eventually.”

I asked both girls what is so special about wanting to be successful at the age of 30, and they said they want to be like Mark Zuckerberg who became a billionaire before he turned 30. So I asked them, “How many millennials do you know have become successful and rich by the age of 30?” They said not too many. So I told them that they were actually putting unnecessary pressure on themselves because of a standard the world has imposed on them. I believe this is why many young adults experience depression and even commit suicide.

I told them that they should learn to enjoy life as a journey because like plants, each of us have our own season. If success is measured by what you accomplished at a certain age, then I should see myself a failure as compared to people like Marvin Germo and Jayson Lo who both became successful at their craft at an early age. But I have a different season, and God in due time gave me success as well. Besides, even our Bible heroes had their own seasons. Joseph was 30 when he became prime minister while Moses was 80 before the Lord called him; nonetheless, God gave them the same level of success.

God made everyone special, and He wants to use each one to be a blessing to others. So enjoy your walk with the Lord and do not try to be like someone else. If He makes you successful and rich by the age of 30, then good for you. But if He does not, remain faithful because Psalm 1:3 says you will produce fruits in the proper season. Life is good if you walk with the Lord. Just make sure you walk with Him and not run ahead of Him. If you do this, you will enjoy life in all its fullness.

Why so sad? Justice will prevail!

I called my sister a few days ago to check how she was doing. Sabi nya sa akin malungkot sya because of what happened to past President Rodrigo Roa Duterte. Sabi nya she has been crying, and marami syang kilala na who shares her sentiments. Nagulat ako sa how this issue affected her? Then she asked about my sentiments.

Happy ako because people now know na may masamang consequence ang pagiging irresponsible voters. Happy ako, because I believe justice will prevail.

I have taught myself to always look for the good in my situation because I know my God is good and will always be in control. While some people may believe that God is not at work and that evil rules over our nation, I believe otherwise. When our leaders thought they had done something bright, they now look foolish before the world. When they think they have forced order in our country, they have exposed their children to mockery by the people around them. Noong akala nila nakaisa sila, patay, they need to face the wrath of the Filipinos.

In Deuteronomy 16:20, God said, “Justice, and only justice, you shall pursue, that you may live and possess the land which the Lord your God is giving you.” The meaning of justice, which is sedeq in Hebrew, is to do what is required according to a standard. The recent inquiries clearly show that our leaders have disregarded the standards they promised to uphold and even tried to twist the interpretation of the law to suit their narratives. Akala nila bobo ang Pilipino.

I am also EXCITED. I am excited to see what God will do. However, I am SAD to see how the political leaders I respect have decided turn their backs on the values they boasted about, kasi yung mali para sa kanila noon tama na ngayon, only because they want to be voted to the position they lust for, so bigla silang nabulag.

I am apolitical and do not have the stomach to be a politician, but I am a fan of President Duterte. While his ways are rough and his words often unbecoming, he pursued justice and made the country safer during his stay in office. During his term, Mindanao was in a constant state of martial law, yet we did not feel restricted. In fact, I had never felt freer then since we moved here in 1998. Today, wala nag martial law sa Mindanao yet crimes have increased dramatically.

Through the many miracles I have experienced, God has shown me that He will always be in control. In the Bible, He promised never to forsake the righteous, so I hope all of us will react in righteousness so that we can give God the freedom to implement His will.

Sa coming election, 11 plus Imee Marcos, ako. Ay nako, pati si Quiboloy masasali. Hehehe
