🔥 SHINGLES & THE SPIRITUAL CONNECTION 🔥
I’m presently battling shingles.
🔸️This isn’t my first time — I had shingles as a child at just 12 or 13.
🔸️But this time, the HOLY SPIRIT is revealing that it’s more than just a virus.
🔸️This isn’t just about nerves — it’s spiritual warfare.
🔸️I’m not sharing this for sympathy — I’m sharing it for those who need discernment.
🔸️To help someone recognize that what shows up in the body may be echoing a deeper war in the spirit.
🔸️This post is part personal reflection, part spiritual insight, and part invitation for anyone who’s in a battle they haven’t fully named yet. 🕊️
🧬 Shingles is the reawakening of a dormant virus — 🔹️but what if it also points to dormant emotional wounds or spiritual stress that’s been hiding too long❓️
🔹️When the body cries out, the spirit is often already in battle.
🔹️And when we press through pain, GOD may be revealing a deeper need for restoration.
💡 SPIRITUAL PARALLELS:
▪️Dormancy → Reactivation: Shingles returns when stress weakens the system. Spiritually, buried trauma or shame can reactivate under pressure.
▪️Pain travels through nerves like old heartbreaks travel through the soul.
▪️Triggers include: grief, suppressed anger, regret, guilt, emotional exhaustion.
▪️🧬 Even science confirms the body responds to spiritual and emotional imbalance.
📖 SCRIPTURE CONNECTIONS:
🟥 Psalm 32:3–4 (NIV):
“When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night YOUR hand was heavy on me; my strength was sapped as in the heat of summer.”
🟥 Ephesians 6:12 (KJV):
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world...”
🟥 Proverbs 17:22 (KJV):
“A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.”
❓REFLECTION QUESTIONS:
❓️ What in me have I silenced for too long?
❓️Am I under spiritual pressure that my body is now carrying?
❓️What might GOD be saying through this pain?
🙏SIMPLE PRAYER:
FATHER GOD, I ask YOU to uncover every buried hurt,
every root of stress or sorrow.
Heal me from the inside out —
not just my skin or nerves,
but my heart and soul.
Show me what this pain is pointing to.
I trust YOU,
and I receive YOUR healing.
In JESUS’ NAME, Amen.

In the 2nd photo I removed the image of my 1stborn, my SONshine, Stephen. He was killed at the young age of 26.
‼️‼️This is not about tragedy but TRIUMPH through CHRIST‼️‼️
