If you miss the days of Kustin releasing music videos, this is as close as I can take you for now:
Since there are still part of channel subscribers that have been around for things I've made, I'll go out of my way to let you know about a recent work I've released a month ago, in a different channel.
Neverdie, a local hard rock band that I've been part of in the recent years, has released its 2nd single Run Through The Fire, where I handle the vocal and mixing duty. And yes, I also get to put on the video editor's hat again, as well as put a show in front of the camera.

If you liked that one, you can check out our other music video for The Chase, our previous single!

That's enough shameless promotion from me! Rock on!

*taps mic* This thing on...?
How's it going, my viewers? It already shows that I am still around on Youtube, still reading new comments from viewers and replying when I feel it makes sense. At this point, this channel has seen different kinds of audience; one being the viewers of my music videos (AMV's) during the early years, primarily with the Dynasty Warriors games (FFVII, as well); the others checking out my Source Filmmaker animations; and finally, the slightly dominating crowd that came for the rare intro of Age of Empires II.
At this point, I'd like to make the first post in my channel's history to share some news for all who come back to my channel for various reasons.
The days of making AMV's as a hobby is behind me since a long time ago. Different reasons ensued after a few years that wore out the heat of passion, triggering one after another: Lagging behind in PC specs with HD resolutions coming in (sluggish editing performance) > lack of work ethic > getting harder to catch up with the AMV community that's been bloating up, leading to less exposure for my target audience. Realizing that it was an increasingly uphill battle to come back to my former years, I finally moved on to other crafts that were tangential to editing and media production. Despite all this, my video editing still came to good use in the recent years, which I will post more about later.
Let it be known, my friends, I am proud of what I accomplished during these golden years of AMV's: I discovered my passion for it when I was 15, progressed my editing from Windows Movie Maker to Adobe Premiere Pro, and reveled in syncing videos with my favorite music as a visual interpretation. I joined communities, participated in online contests (even won once!), found new friends and got you as a part of my audience. Your support helped me pursue my goals and be proud of what I sent off to the world. Let your other favorite video makers know that they mean so much to you, so that they can keep producing your favorite videos.
Regards,
Jev A.K.A. Kustin
